Tima Bell Bio
Tima Bell, founder of Tima Winter Inc., has been designing and building in Los Angeles for the last 12 years. An internationally recognized artist, I started the pursuit of architecture to make my paintings investigate space and spatial concepts with a critical approach, but fell in love with the process of creating buildings. With degrees from Rice University and SCI-Arc, including two years studying internationally, I'm always in the process of learning. My first project was an "off-the-grid" Straw Bale house and I've never looked back. I've studied with and worked beside some fantastic colleagues and in the short span of 12 years, my passion hasn't diminished. I still try to attain a "soup to nuts" approach, and, given the opportunity, I'd design everything within your space, right down to a custom lock and key.
Design Philosophy
Started in 2003 by Tima Bell, Tima Winter Inc. is a full service architectural design firm with the ability to take your project from inception to completion.
The mission of TWInc. is based on the process of design, rather than an individual style. Our goal, in every project, is to integrate and diffuse a seamless sense of context and programmatic efficiency with a sublime aesthetic.
Our completed commercial projects range from high-end restaurants and nightclubs to a line of beauty salons. Our current projects include a 300 room Las Vegas hotel and an exclusive lounge/bar in downtown Los Angeles, CA.
we have also built many private homes in and around southern california, many using sustainable building methods and recycled materials.
TWInc. makes every attempt to use natural materials that are contextual with the locale. In addition, we use a contemporary and ecologically conscious approach to infrastructure. the TWInc. design process intention is to emphasize a critical investigation of program, while creating a modern organic aesthetic.
In the past 5 years, TWInc. has become a leader in providing design and fabrication services for custom furniture. In addition to our private clients, our furniture can be found in many hospitality venues in Los Angeles.
